Description
The crested form of Mammillaria is a rare mutation where the normal round heads merge into a single wavy, brain-like or fan-shaped structure. The surface is covered in dense small spines depending on the species, giving the crest a textured, almost velvety look. Each plant develops a unique sculptural shape.
